Erica and Mikes wedding was a blast. They were a little shy when we first met. I think mike said maybe one sentence the entire meeting 🙂 As we spent the day with them however, they opened up and we got to see that they are a sweet, down to earth and loving couple(kinda like us!). From Monterey California, Mike is a wine maker and his hands were sill stained red for our first handshake. Erica – a stay at home yogi mama Cares for their son Talon. Awesome family, great friends and good times! They did it right – Aloha – D
Her “something old” was this beautiful ring from Erica’s Grandmother.
Talon – their 2 year old son was a great subject. You know we had to get some pics of this little baller getting ready with daddy!
We had a great time with Erica and Mike once we finally got them out for their photo session. I always try to talk couples into spending some time before the ceremony to enjoy each other, relax and let us capture the moment! Since they were totally non-traditional and not worried about seeing each other before the ceremony, this worked out just great for them!
Erica and Mike danced their first dance to Bob Marley’s “Mellow Mood”. I think thats when I officially fell in love with this couple … you know being born the same day as Bob and all -D
Then in the traditional Jewish theme everyone joined them on the dance floor for the “Horah”…… so much fun!
Mike almost got hoisted up into the ceiling fan …. hence the concerned expression on both his and Erica’s face
And of course the night wouldn’t be complete without her lovely parents Laurel and Bob giving a heartfelt speech which left the entire room teary-eyed.
These last two of Erica’s parents dancing are two of my very favorites – Its like it was their first dance …. so sweet!! -D
