Oh how we enjoyed photographing these love birds! Beth and Dan met in Spain, while Beth was studying abroad and he was traveling. Im sure they never imagined that nine years later they would be exchanging vows on an Island in the middle of the pacific. Being from different countries, Dan from Australia and Beth from the US, Maui was the perfect meeting place for all their closest loved ones meet and celebrate their love for each other.
For them the most important was to create a fun and relaxed wedding ceremony and reception. They didn’t want to hold too much tradition and be able to fully enjoy their time with their Ohana’s. Punakea Palms provided the perfect space and backdrop for a fun, relaxed and casual event.
Punakea Palms is a family operated coconut farm in the foothills of the West Maui mountains, with amazing ocean views. This is a true Maui gem, as it is home of several native tropical plants and fruits, which provides a very special Hawaii vibe. In Beth words: ” It was the only venue we visited that gave me goosebumps… “.
The couple incorporated tones of dusty blue, green and burgundy/merlot. They loved the bohemian and rustic aesthetic, but still wanted to keep in with colors that would be available for florals on Maui. Sandra of A Maui Wedding Day turned their vision into reality, with a beautiful set up including french bistro chairs and farm tables adorned perfectly with gorgeous garlands and florals by the talented team of Bella Bloom. I , Sandra, was particularly in love with Beth’s bouquet, its texture and rich tones.
