Clarissa and Michael’s Olowalu Plantation House Maui wedding was nothing short of amazing and we’re so excited to share it with you today. The Olowalu Plantation House is an absolute dream, surrounded by the soft blues of the Pacific Ocean and palm trees in lush shades of green, the couple chose to adorn their ceremony in a soft color palette of blush and ivory which accented the natural beauty of the estate perfectly.
“We met in Vienna, Austria, when we were roughly 17. I was giving a presentation in which Michael kept interrupting and during said presentation, I called him out (he really liked that, hehe). After a group hang out one evening, Michael was navigating Vienna solo on his way back to his host-family’s home and I grew concerned that he was doing so late in the night, in a foreign country, and with no grasp of the German language. I then insisted that I share the awkward walk to the tram (along with my host “sister”). On the plane ride back to New York, we exchanged phone numbers (though Michael insists that I went out of my way to give him my phone number; I vehemently deny this). A few months after that trip, on my birthday, and without knowing what day it was, Michael reached out to me. Since then, we’ve been pretty much inseparable”.
