Andie & Kris
A romantic cliffside ceremony, flowers in a mixture of textures and colors and stunning ocean views, Andie and Kris’ wedding was a gorgeous Hawaiian celebration filled with palm trees, warm tradewinds and so much love. For Andie and Kris, it was all about soft, fresh flowers, a tropical, airy vibe and most of all, an epic celebration by the sea with their family and friends who were more than happy to travel to the beautiful island of Maui after a year of lockdowns and travel restrictions.
Moana Belle Events created an incredibly elegant yet decidedly tropical fete that exuded the trademark modern luxury feel that tthe Montage Kapalua Bay is famous for. The beautiful wedding decor was thoughtfully planned out and represented their years of love together as a couple. From the bold tropical flowers that adorned their ceremony arch to the extravagant flower installations under the sailcloth tent, there were so many details to love about this design.
The couple said I Do in front of the most gorgeous wedding arch, dripping in bright, bold tropical flowers such as heliconia, Maui-grown protea, Big Island orchids and anthuriums in shades of pink to coral. Teresa Sena Designs incorporated touches of white blooms to add a clean airiness to the structure with deep green palm leaves to compliment the overall design. The bride carried a more subdued bouquet in neutral shades with subtle pops of color in pink and blush. But all eyes were on gorgeous Andie as she made her entrance into the ceremony on the arm of her proud father.
Their reception design flowed seamlessly into the most romantic tropical celebration underneath an elegant sailcloth tent, dressed with hanging twinkle lights, lush tropical greenery, large tropical blooms with touches of creamy dusty-blue adorning their tabletop. Whimsical details were tied into the look, including Cadiz shell place cards, round vellum menus and warm touches of candlelight.
Moana Belle Events brought the couple’s modern tropical vision to life by designing an incredible floral installation, inspired by the lush palm trees found throughout the Montage Kapalua Bay Resort. They mimicked the palms, creating faux palm canopies onto the wooden poles of the Sperry tent which added in a gorgeous focal point above the dining tables and the dance floor. To continue with the lush, tropical vibe, suspended globe lighting hung from the faux palm canopy to create a moody, tropical atmosphere, which was a big point of importance to the bride and groom.
