Breanna & Keagan, October 6th, 2019
Ponomakena, located on the tranquil shores of South Maui, provided Breanna and Keagan with the private oceanfront venue of their dreams for their Wailea Maui wedding. The lush ceremony lawn features stunning ocean views, palm trees and waves crashing only steps away. The romantic atmosphere and beautiful lighting makes this sanctuary one of a kind.
From the Bride “We’re planning for really good quality, intricate details for the wedding; from the specialty cocktails, the turquoise agate place card with gold calligraphy, to the flowers (my favorite part!). I want everyone to feel special & know how much we care about them and how much it means to us to have them there.”
The Bride and Groom (who are both doctors by the way!) met on an online dating app and later found out they also had a mutual friend in common. After some pressure from their friend they planned their first date, a hike followed by dinner and dancing. Learning that they are both very active, high-energy individuals with strong family bonds and a love for their two fur babies (Kennedy the Persian & Salomon the Mastiff/Pit) it was a match made in heaven.
“Keagan proposed a couple of hours before we left for Bali, Indonesia. He proposed in the shower, as he “wanted to just be us, no one else, nothing else.” It was genuine & pure. He proposed by asking me if I would be his “life partner, build a life with him, buy a home with him, build a family with him, travel & play with him.” We then celebrated with 10 days of adventure in Bali!”

Ok, so let’s face it… no bride comes to Hawaii thinking that it might rain on their wedding day. In fact, the fantastic weather is probably one of the reasons you chose to get married here in the first place! But in reality it does happen. Most often it’s just a passing sprinkle and delivers the gorgeous rainbows that Hawaii is famous for. A little rain didn’t stop this wedding and the festivities continued.
“On October 6th, I married Keagan. Waking up next to him that morning, I felt like I had already won. Our wedding day was full of love, sunshine and rain. A memorable day spent with my amazing husband.”
