Timeless Romance at The Haiku Mill

Tina and Maverick always knew that they would have a destination wedding in Maui as it holds a very special place in their hearts. A locale that the bride and groom have vacationed to multiple times together, they couldn’t imagine having their wedding anywhere else!
They dreamed of having a fun and classic, yet natural and romantic Maui wedding surrounded by their family and friends. But they also wanted their guests to experience something unique, a different venue with an incredible backdrop that would absolutely wow everyone in attendance. That venue? The incomparable Haiku Mill.

The talented Erica of Couture Events Hawaii created a jaw-droppingly gorgeous ceremony and reception space that would exceed all of their expectations. The ceremony space at the Haiku Mill was beautifully designed, complete with luxurious white draping tied with cascading, natural greenery, while crystal hanging chandeliers peppered the entrance as guests arrived to be seated at natural cross back chairs. Full, lush flower arrangements were placed to denote the beginning of the aisle as delicate hanging crystals sparkled overhead. All leading to the gorgeous steps at the Haiku Mill, surrounded by natural green foliage, romantic pillar candles and perfectly placed floral arrangements in their signature shades of ivory and muted blue, creating an elegantly natural and romantic ambiance for their heartfelt ceremony to take place.

The bride and groom opted for a first look at the Haiku Mill before their guests arrived, which we absolutely love, as it allows our couples to enjoy a private moment together and exchange a few sweet words before the festivities begin. The groom looked dapper in a classic ensemble of navy, white and muted blue, topped off with a lush Hawaiian Maile Lei, as he waited for his bride to arrive. As she tapped him on his shoulder, Maverick turned around to see Tina looking absolutely flawless in a stunning gown designed by Martina Liana Bridal.

After allowing the couple some private time to soak in this sweet moment, we proceeded with romantic portraits of the couple around the Haiku Mill followed by family and bridal party portraits. We highly recommend capturing family and bridal party photos before the ceremony, if possible, as this will allow you to fully enjoy your cocktail hour along with your family and friends. This was extremely important to our couple as they placed a big emphasis on amazing food and specialty crafted cocktails for their celebration and wanted to fully experience every aspect with their guests.

The elegant decor continued throughout their celebration with artfully crafted furniture and seating placed under the graceful mango tree in the courtyard of the Haiku Mill for Cocktail Hour. Guests were invited to be seated to enjoy craft cocktail service as they listened to live Hawaiian music and stylishly prepared appetizers.

After that they were ushered in to a dinner reception that was straight out of a fairy tale! Seating charts were uniquely placed onto chic crystal decanters, tables were covered in ethereal blooms, tall, twinkling taper candles, lovely blue runners and topped with beautiful place settings. As the sun went down, flickering candles and crystal chandeliers filled the spectacular Haiku Mill with a romantic glow as everyone celebrated the love of this amazing couple.
